Henning Schmiedt dedicates his latest single, “Late,” to Mikis Theodorakis. The Greek Composer is one of the most influential musical figures in Henning’s career and, probably, the most significant Greek Composer of all time. Henning was working with him as a soloist, arranger, and producer for many years.
The great composer and wonderful person Mikis Theodorakis left this world. It leaves me with a feeling of emptiness and sadness, but above all, of an infinite amount of gratitude.
I want to dedicate this song to Mikis and our everlasting musical friendship.
In the years in which I was allowed to work with Mikis, I have been able to experience countless musically fulfilling, inspiring, and humanly exhilarating moments.
