Danny Norbury

Danny Norbury lives and works in Manchester. He is a cellist, using the instruments he has around him at home. He has collaborated with The Boats, Library Tapes, Rafael Anton Irisarri, and Nancy Elizabeth

Nancy Elizabeth、Rafael Anton IrisarriそしてLibrary Tapesの作品・ライブなどで名脇役として活躍しているマンチェスター在住のチェロ奏者。The Boatsでは第3のメンバーとして参加。static caravanやonoからソロ作品をリリースした後、2009年にLacie's Recordsより1stアルバム『Light In August』を発表。ゆったりとした音符の動きが心地よい雄大なチェロの音色と、控えめなピアノの伴奏の多重録音で作り上げた、デリケートで美しいこの モダン・クラシック作品は、各所でベスト・アルバムに選ばれ、今年flauより待望のリイシュー。現在ヨーロッパ中からその才能に注目が集まっている。
