アルゼンチン・ブエノスアイレスの音楽家、サウンド・アーティストのウリセス・コンティによる「WALK AND LISTEN」を駒込倉庫にて開催します。「WALK AND LISTEN」は都市の中でのサイレント・ウォーク。その大きな目的は、周囲の音を聴くことに集中することにあります。ウリセスは、視覚芸術、映画、舞台芸術など様々な分野で幅広く活動する作家であり、このプロジェクトは彼にとって、活動・そして人生のあらゆる側面において、音とその関わりに対する関心から生まれています。あらゆる音を潜在的な音楽素材とみなし、これまで耳にしたことのない朗読を聞いて、あらゆる類の偏見を消して音の探索を開始します。
私たちのほとんどは、実際には「閉じられた」耳と共に生きています。私たちを取り囲む健全な風景の探検の自由を通して、音に関する私たちの認識は指数関数的に増加します。このようにして、作曲とは反対のプロセスを活性化し、音楽の意味を広げることができます。それは音で物事を語るのではなく、私たちの周りの音が伝えなければならないことを聞くことなのです。
このプロジェクトは、ドイツのブレーメンで2015年に日本のレコードレーベルFLAUとOtero galleryによって初めて企画・開催され、同年ArteBA（アート・ブエノスアイレス）にて地下鉄のスコアマップを展示しました。ブエノスアイレス、マル・デル・プラタで開催されるTRImarchiやRadio Cascabel主催によってロンドンでも開催されています。

FLAU is pleased to announce the opening of Ulises Conti’s workshop WALK AND LISTEN on October 14, 2018 at Komagome SOKO. Walk and listen is a group and silent walk through the city. The aim is to generate a concentration in the listening of the surrounding sounds. This project is born from my concerns about sound and how we relate with it in every aspect of our life. We could begin our sound search leaving behind all kind of prejudices, considering every sound as a potential musical material, listening sonorities which we have never carefully hear before. Most of us live with our ears practically closed. Through a freedom of exploration in the sound landscapes which surround us, our perception regarding sound will exponentially grow. In this way we will be able to extend the meaning of the word music, activating a process opposite to the composition. Is not about saying things through the sounds but listen what this sounds around us have to tell.
This project was developed for the first time in May 2015 in Bremen, Germany, where several walks were coordinated during one week. This activities were organized by the Japanese label Flau records and Otero gallery, which at the same time exhibited the score-map of the route in ArteBA, Buenos Aires. In April 2016 this walks were made for the first time in Buenos Aires and in November 2017 in Mar del Plata organized by Trimarchi Festival; also they took place in London organized by Radio Cascabel.
