2010年よりアコースティック／フォーク／インディーを中心に国内外有名無名問わず、確かな個性を持ったアーティストを ブッキングし、Taguchi、Flysoundの全面協力の元、繊細な音楽表現を届けて来た名物イベント。これまでの貴重なライブ・アーカイブの中から、レイチェル・ダッド、MayMay、 ASPIDISTRAFLYら海外勢、テニスコーツ、Predawn、PoPoyans、加藤りま、青木隼人、扇谷一穂に加え、惑星のかぞえかた、カラト ユカリ、YoK.ら新世代のアーティストを女性ボーカル中心に収録。多彩なラインナップによる美しい歌声と、心打つ普遍のメロディーをパッケージングした珠玉のコンピレーションに仕上がりました。
「今日の東京で最も静かなライブ」（TIMEOUT）と評されるほど、木のぬくもりに包まれた暖かなVACANTの音響の中で細やかに配慮された録音は、アーティストの息遣いまで感じられるようなインティメイトな空気感を、そのまま封じ込めています。

FOUNDLAND is flau’s 4th release in its compilation series. This wonderful compilation album is a collection of live recordings taken from flau’s famous music event – FOUNDLAND, which showcases beautiful quiet sounds.
FOUNDLAND is a new platform for fresh and established artists, presented by flau and HUTU, with sounds produced by Fly sound x TAGUCHI. Mainly held in VACANT in Harajuku, Tokyo, FOUNDLAND over the years has gathered many wonderful artists from both local and overseas to showcase their stunning sounds, including Sharon Van Etten, Grouper, James Blackshaw, Pascal Pinon, Masha Qrella, TAPE, Florencia Ruiz, Eiko Ishibashi, Tujiko Noriko…etc.
This beautiful compilation features mainly Japanese female vocalists, like tenniscoats, PoPoyans, Rima Kato and Predawn, with overseas artists Aspidistrafly, MayMay, and Rachael Dadd also joining the list.
As these live recordings were done in the event venue VACANT, which is graciously surrounded by trees, we can almost feel the warmth of these trees in the live recorded sounds…..they are so delicate and yet heart-warming.
We welcome you, to our wonderful FOUNDLAND.
