東京の西側をテーマに綴られたMachinoneのファーストアルバム『Tokyo』のリミックス集。flauからアルバム『Funkel』をリリースしたTomlab/Kompaktのアンビエント・レジェンドNovisad、先日の来日も記憶にフォークトロニカの名手F.S.Blumm、Plug Research/Chapter MusicのJeremy Dowerは10年ぶりの奇跡ともいえるカムバックでArchitecture In Helsinki以来となる貴重なリミックスを披露。flauとも関係の深いオーストラリアの良質レーベルPreservationからはNat HawksによるPadna、Olan Mill、そしてBlack Eagle Childの３組、アメリカの新興レーベルPatient SoundsからはレーベルオーナーM.Sageと日本人アーティストHakobuneが参加。さらにサイケな意匠を施したHear Hums、Africa Pseudobruitismus、Tuluum Shimmeringや、Danny Norburyのチェロを最大限に引き出したイギリスのオーディオ・ヴィジュアル・ユニットOrigamibiro、霞がかったサウンドスケープでMachinoneの牧歌的な側面を封じ込めたアンビエント新世代Lee Noble、myspace時代から親交があるというスペインのGhost And Tape、シンプルな打ち込みで軽やかさを押し出した中国のme:moやwimなど、バラエティー豊かなアーティストによるリミックスを収録。アルバムにはMachinone自身のセルフリミックスに、今回のアートワークも提供してくれたPatrick Ellisがフランス映画のような優雅な余韻を残す華麗なリミックスで全20曲の特大ボリュームを締めくくります。

From germany legendary folktronica act (Novisad, F.S.Blumm), flau’s favorite label Preservation from Australia (Nat Hawks aka Padna, Olan Mill, Black Eagle Child) and Patient Sounds from US (M.Sage, Hakobune) to more psychedelic new star (Hear Hums, Africa Pseudobruitismus, Tuluum Shimmeringa), gorgeous classical ambient (Origamibiro, The Green Kingdom, Ghost And Tape), lovely indietronica (me:mo, wim) and free-form experimental (Lee Noblel, Les Halles). the album also has Machinone’s self remix and boot remix from Patrick Ellis as bonus track. Most epic thing is Jeremy Dower who come back with this remix from 10 years. We hope you to enjoy another side of Tokyo.
