Part Timer / Scissors and Sellotape / Upward Arrows – John McCaffrey, an Englishman now living in Melbourne, is Australia’s finest purveyor of folktronica. Released internationally on a raft of different labels, he’s a keen remixer, and collaborates with a number of vocalists and other musicians. For this rare Sydney performance he will be concentrating on using iPad and other mobile devices to trigger and manipulate sounds.

Ollie Bown – one half of legendary English duo Icarus, who released two of the greatest drum’n’bass albums of the ‘90s, and have since progressed further and further into the realms of electro-acoustic and folktronic sound. After living in Melbourne for 2 years, Ollie recently arrived in Sydney to work as a lecturer and researcher in creative computing at the Design Lab. He will perform a solo set using new software for performing with generative percussion.

Gail Priest – one of Sydney’s premier sound artists, Gail Priest is editor of the book Experimental Music: audio explorations in Australia, and has a number of CD releases under her belt. She is currently co-curating New Weird Australia Vol 10 with Stuart Buchanan focusing on the voice in experimental music. Live, Gail Priest’s music features hypnotically beautiful processed textures, voice, and the occasional techno-inspired workouts.
