Henning Schmiedt :: New Album Out Soon
German pianist Henning Schmiedt was born in 1965 in the former German Democratic Republic and studied music in Rostock. He worked on art and music that represented the idea of social freedom.
Henning arranged and produced music for several international artists and added the soundtrack to a movie about German-American composer Kurt Weill. He also wrote music for theater.
The German newspaper ‘Mitteldeutsche Zeitung’ says about him: “Henning Schmiedt is an aesthete, who creates his compositional intentions lightly, but with professional experience. His playing appears to be handmade; virtous and harmonically profound he is placing important accents.”
His new album ‘Spazieren’ will be out in October on the Japanese Flau label. Here are two of his earlier compositions.
